Thierry

For some years now, Thierry has been addressing spiritual seekers and inviting them to take part in an extensive and intimate exchange about the driving forces behind their quest, in an encounter with the self where the ground has been cleared of the spiritual ego’s ponderous judgment and eccentric hopes.

Faced with the eternal questions posed by the quest, Thierry provides incisive, clear-cut replies to create inroads into the seeker’s closed and painful world, beckoning him or her to quit the race rather than continue to shift gears.

These dialogues are an invitation to achieve peace, simplification and an awakening to what is already intimately present within us but distorted by beliefs and expectations.

(...) After 15 years of a committed spiritual quest, regular meditation sessions and training courses, I experienced a surprising and salutary collapse. I "woke up" quite literally by falling out of bed. Although the fall didn’t immediately reveal its secret, what I can say today is that I straightaway sensed what it contained. The thousands of hours spent in fervent meditation, my calls never to wander from the straight and narrow, the insistent hope of "someone other than me" and all the artful tricks of the quest vanished into thin air in the batting of an eyelid and were consumed, leaving but ashes and silence. While it seemed at the time that I had lost everything, down to the very meaning of life, I had in fact suddenly gained the freedom to be what I am. It was from this moment of being brutally stripped that the spiritual awakening, which I had previously thought to be made up of pathetic masks, unveiled itself in all its pure splendor. The tension which had been my constant road companion gave way to a vibrant open space from which emerged a book-free, mind-free "knowledge" of my genuine nature and, as a result, an awareness of how the infernal dance of our painful strategies continues, despite ourselves, to keep us remote from what we are. The desire to testify came naturally, unconfined by reassuring boundaries or traditional landmarks. This is what I am doing daily now, because I am not driven by any impulse other than that of sharing the miracle of simply being alive. Istenqs[1] invites all seekers and those who have stopped seeking, from wherever they come and in whatever circles they may find themselves, Non-Duality or New Age, to share the Joy of Surrender on the shore of naked souls.

[1] Istenqs is the acronym in French for "Ici Se Termine Enfin Notre Quête Spirituelle" – Here ends our spiritual quest at last.
